Meet Sanjay Mengar
Sanjay Mengar is an Australian director, actor, producer, cinematographer, and editor based in Adelaide, South Australia.
He is the founder of Sanjay Mengar Films and has worked across a wide range of creative disciplines, including directing, cinematography, editing, live production, and visual storytelling. He was named Media Personality of the Year in 2025 in recognition of his contributions to the media industry.
In 2026, Sanjay made his film-making debut with the English romantic comedy short film PRANKOUPLE, serving as writer, director, producer, cinematographer, editor, and lead actor. The film premiered at HOYTS Cinema in Adelaide and marked the beginning of his journey into narrative film-making.
In addition to filmmaking, Sanjay has over 15 years of experience in photography and video production and has been recognised for his contributions to the media and creative industries. In 1998, he received the Best Photographer Award. He continues to develop new film projects across comedy, drama, thriller, and horror genres for international English-speaking audiences.
